Teach Me New Ways

Teach me:
to seek security less and solitude more,
to spend less time doing well and more time being still.

Teach me:
to care less about success and more about service,
to think less about right beliefs and more about compassionate living.

Teach me:
to change my focus from fears to your faithfulness,
to live less in effort-filled work and more in prayer and praise
for your incomprehensible love and delight!

This is a conundrum. How to be still and listen for GOD to speak and at the same time being of service to others? One is a singular activity and the other is in company of others doing service to or with them. Effort filled work…how else would service get done? Peace,Frank
