God Comes in our Daily Routine

Advent C, 12-1-2013
Read Matthew 24:36-44

God speaks to me in my daily life.  But I seem to expect God to speak to me only in a miraculous way or only in a church or somewhere in nature “away from it all.”  But God speaks to me right where I am — trying to solve a problem at work, answering a child’s question or complaint, or just trying to get myself organized.

The question is — can I recognize and hear God’s voice?

Keep an Advent Journal. Meditate on your daily activities.  How can you learn to recognize and hear God speaking to your in the midst of your routine?  Ask for God’s help in stopping, listening, and recognizing God’s call in the midst of your daily life
